This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how SocialSpinVault uses them, what each cookie does, and how you can manage your preferences. Written to comply with the EU ePrivacy Directive, the UK PECR, and equivalent regulations elsewhere.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by the websites you visit. Cookies make sites work more efficiently, remember your preferences across navigations, persist session state between visits, and provide aggregate operational data to site operators. Cookies are not malicious by default — the privacy impact depends entirely on what they store and who can access that data.

Cookie categories on SocialSpinVault

Strictly necessary cookies. Essential for basic operation. Cannot be disabled without breaking the Site. The main example is a short-lived session identifier that persists your virtual chip balance as you navigate between pages within one visit. Without this cookie, the balance would reset on every page load.

Performance and analytics cookies. Help us understand how visitors use the Site at aggregate, non-identifying level. Total page visits, average session length, most-played games, common navigation paths, country-level geography. Aggregated and never tied to an individual. We use this data to decide where to invest development time.

Preference cookies. If we ever store a sound, language, or other personal customization, those go in preference cookies. Only set when you explicitly choose a non-default option.

Advertising cookies. SocialSpinVault does not run any third-party advertising on the Site. We therefore do not set any advertising cookies. If this position changes in future, the Policy will be updated with full disclosure and a separate opt-in mechanism.

Cookie duration

Session cookies (chip balance identifier) delete when you close the browser tab. Persistent cookies (preference cookies) have a defined expiry listed in the cookie metadata. Analytics cookies typically expire within 26 months.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break the Site — in particular, your chip balance may reset on every page navigation. Blocking analytics cookies has no effect on your ability to play but reduces our aggregate visibility.

Third-party cookies

We do not set third-party advertising cookies. We may use Google Analytics or a similar privacy-focused analytics provider, which sets its own cookies per its policy. Opt out of Google Analytics tracking using their browser opt-out add-on.

Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy as our cookie usage or applicable law changes. The Effective Date will reflect the latest revision.
